RV (a play) is about family. There’s Linda, the matriarch, who may have a drinking problem and is still in love with her dead first husband. Tom, her second husband, has narrowly escaped a heart attack but still struggles with his love of junk-food. Kelly, Linda’s teenage daughter, is unmarried and pregnant and Sissy, the Swedish nanny brought to the U.S. to raise Kelly, is in love with Gene – Tom’s resentful, drug-dealing son.
Oh and by the way, it’s all set in an RV.
Produced by Junk Drawer Theater and featuring a cast and crew of local favorites, this show will run two weekends only. Generous support for this production has been provided by Reese Sabbatical Fund at The Gilman School. Seating is limited. A portion of all proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity of the Chesapeake.

Mark Kozlowski (Police Officer) is delighted to be taking part in this production, and especially glad to be able to do it with his wife, Penelope! He recently appeared in The Divine Sister at Vagabond Players and in Murder on the Orient Express at Manor Mill Playhouse in 2025, and was active in theater at Caltech prior to moving to Baltimore.
Dezra Lloyd (Sissy) is thrilled to be making her first major stage appearance in RV (a play). She has always been passionate about the arts and enjoys all forms of creative expression, including acting, singing, and dancing. Dezra is honored to be part of bringing this original work to life and is grateful for the opportunity to help tell a story that is so meaningful to its writer. She is thankful to collaborate with such a talented cast and creative team and hopes audiences connect with this unique production. Enjoy the show!
Laura Malkus (Linda/Producer) is a Baltimore-based performer, advocate, and arts management evangelist who has been a veteran of Baltimore’s small stages for the past two decades. Favorite past roles include Jean in Dead Man's Cell Phone at Fells Point Corner Theatre (FPCT), Ms. Thelma in Promenade: Baltimore (Single Carrot Theatre), Brunehilde et al in Das Barbecue (Vags) and Harper in Angels in America I & II (Axis Theatre). So far this year she has played George Read in Towson University's 1776 and Sofia in FPCT's Dance Nation. She attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in NYC and holds a Certificate in Cultural Entrepreneurship from Northeastern University. Laura currently serves as President of FPCT.
Will Malkus (Gene) is honored to be included in the cast of RV (a play). Raised by actors, dancers, and musicians, he has been involved in the arts since birth but this is his first time on stage since before the pandemic. Favorite past roles include Babbybobby Bennett in Martin McDonagh's The Cripple of Inishmaan, FATHER TYPE in Jennifer Haley's Neighborhood 3: Requisition of Doom, and Victor in R.N. Sandberg's Frankenstein. He would like to thank his family for a love of art, his friends and loved ones for the support and patience necessitated by any rehearsal schedule, and the rest of the cast and crew for a fantastic experience.
Gracie Sciannella (Kelly) (she/her) is a Baltimore creative and performer who is so excited to be in her first Malkus production. She is excited to be working alongside a few fellow Towson acting alumni and all the other wonderfully talented people lending themselves to this production. Gracie was one of those children who went through a phase where she pretended to be pregnant all the time even when her parents told her it was weird. You might say she's been training her whole life for this role. Gracie has been seen in shows at Vagabond Players, Fells Point Corner Theater, Spotlighters Theater, and Towson University. She also costumes and builds trees for her mother.
Morgan Stanton (Tom) has acted opposite fellow cast member Laura Malkus in The Taming of the Shrew, Tartuffe, and Dead Man’s Cell Phone. Decades ago, he played multiple characters with her husband Larry, writer and director of RV (a play), in the comedy The Complete History of America, Abridged. He is happy to be working with them again and with this talented cast. Other favorite roles include Picasso in Picasso at the Lapin Agile, Lachlan MacLachlan in The Hasty Heart for which he won an audience choice award for best actor, and as multiple characters in On The Verge.
Larry Malkus (Director, Playwright, and Fight Choreographer) is so grateful to the cast and crew of RV (a play) for bringing this project to life. He holds a BFA in acting from Brooklyn College and is entering year 30 of his career at Gilman School. Special thanks to his wife, Laura, who helped produce this dream-come-true. Additional thanks to Kelly Fuller, Lynda McClary, Zarah Rautell, and Thom Sinn, who provided inspiration for the play's characters (but only the good stuff). Larry would also like to acknowledge the generous funding of the Reese Sabbatical Fund.
Chris Flint (Scenic/Lighting Designer) is the Technical Director at Gilman School, where he has designed all the theatre productions since the fall of 2011. He currently serves on the Board of Directors and as the Director of Production and Scenic Designer for the Young Victorian Theatre Company, having designed their shows since 2022. He also has design credits with Roland Park Country School, Live Arts Maryland, Full Circle Dance Company, The Collaborative Theatre Company, Key School, and Iron Crow Theatre.
Dan Malkus (Assistant Stage Manager) RV (a play) marks Dan's entrance to community theater. He brings technical experience from his school productions at Calvert Hall College High School's theater program, where he built sets and ran tech for the last four productions: The League of Youth, Mary Poppins, Busman's Honeymoon, and Something Rotten. He'd like to thank his friends and family for their constant support.

Meghan Stanton Ziccardi (Sound Designer) is a performer, writer, and sound designer based in Baltimore. She is excited to work with Mr. Malkus who definitely taught her during her time as a student at Bryn Mawr. Other past credits include: Dance Nation (FPCT) The Lights Went Out Because of a Problem (The Acme Corporation); Every Brilliant Thing (Single Carrot); Pink Milk (Single Carrot); Incredibly Dead (BROS); The Death of Walt Disney (Single Carrot); Mr. Burns: A Post-Electric Play (Cohesion); Promenade: Baltimore (Single Carrot).

Kay-Megan Washington (Intimacy Direction) is a seasoned stage, television and film actress, and intimacy director. She recently intimacy directed Dance Nation (FPCT), Floating Down to Camelot (Baltimore Playwrights Festival), Picasso at the Lapin Agile (also assistant director; Vagabond Players), and On the Verge (Fells Point Corner Theatre), and assisted with the intimate scenes for Seven Guitars (Spotlighters). In her spare time, she is also the Vice-President and volunteer advocate of FPCT. She would like to thank Steve for putting up with her frequent absences and supporting everything she does (even the nose piercing).
